Then she sees Adam watching her.

He’s answer to those problems in the short- term,

From the moment they meet they both sense something special happening.

It could be amazing.

But Adam is leaving in four days.

And Geneviève has a husband.

Can they overcome the bad timing?

Will they find a way to be together?

My Review

I read the previous book in this series, I Thought I Knew You, not so long ago and thoroughly enjoyed it.  Love Me Goodbye did not disappoint.

Meg’s writing is brilliant, she really tells a beautiful story and her characters are flawed to perfection.  They appear real due to their flaws.

I absolutely cannot wait to find out if there is going to be another instalment to this series.  If not, I’ll have to find other books by Meg Buchanan to even it out.

About Meg Buchanan

I live in Paeroa, a small town in New Zealand, with my husband and a black labrador. Most of my books are set in my home town, simply because it has a rich history, and the streets already have names, so do the rivers and the mountain nearby, and the neighbouring towns also have names, so I save time on world building.

I have been writing for seven years. Before that I was a teacher, then a kitchen designer, and for a year, the creator of resources for drug education. But now writing is what I do.

I love creating books about ordinary people doing interesting things. The characters in my story are just a little better looking and more charismatic than in real life, but they think and feel like normal people.

My books cover many genre, action adventure, scifi, historical fiction, and romance. Up until now you won’t find a vampire or werewolf in any them, but in the future, that can’t be completely ruled out.

I wrote Scavenger Hunt to enter it in a national competition, just to see if I could write. It won the competition and really it has all gone on from there.

Blog Tour Book Review | Angelfire by Deryn Pittar and Meg Buchanan

Blog Tour Book Review | Angelfire by Deryn Pittar and Meg Buchanan

It’s my stop on the blog tour for a great new romance from Deryn Pittar and Meg Buchanan, Angelfire.

About Angelfire

When Major Lewis Carpenter arrives home in Haven Falls he’s literally knocked off his feet by his neighbour, Emma. She’s even more gorgeous than he remembers.

That evening, he arrives at her door with a bottle of wine, only to find her armed and ready to repel invaders. After much persuasion, she tells him she’s an angel and the devil has chosen her to be his bride – but she’s not going without a fight.

Lewis, who suffers from PTSD, finds her story about as believable as some of his flashbacks, but is prepared to go along with her until proven otherwise because he’s fantasized about her for years.

What follows is an exciting couple of days involving fights with fallen angels, a kidnapping and a rescue involving a fire truck. All’s fair in love and war, especially if you’re falling in love with an angel.

My review

I enjoyed Angelfire.  Although, possibly not as much as Meg Buchanan’s other books.  It is a short read, but fast-paced and enjoyable.

I highly recommend Meg Buchanan’s books, but this is the first one of Deryn Pittar’s.

Deryn’s previous books have never really appealed to me, but I think I may actually go back and take a look at them.

You can buy Angelfire from Amazon using the following link (affiliate).

Blog Tour Book Review | I Thought I Knew You by Meg Buchanan

Blog Tour Book Review | I Thought I Knew You by Meg Buchanan

One thing I love about reviewing books is that I never know what’s going to come my way next. I have discovered some really great books and authors through reviewing. Today, I am introducing a lovely new romantic novel from Meg Buchanan, I Thought I Knew You.

About I Thought I Knew You

I Thought I Knew You is the fourth in Meg’s Prelude series following members of the amateur band, Stadium. The series is set in New Zealand.

Luke and Tessa have been a couple for 6 years.

Tessa is Stadium’s biggest fan. Her hard childhood and promiscuous teens have left an impact, but Tessa has grown up. She wants to be a fashion designer.

Luke is the lead singer of Stadium. He has a reputation with the ladies and hasn’t always been faithful. His dream is for Stadium to make it big.

When a talent scout appears at one of Stadium’s regular gigs, Luke’s dreams look like they are about to come true. Tessa is thrilled about her fiancé’s success but concerned about their future.

Will the path to success run smoothly?
Will Luke’s big secret be discovered?
Will Tessa be left heartbroken?

My Review

I really enjoyed I Thought I Knew You. As a romance novel it had plenty of storyline to match the ‘romance’ scenes. I have said before I am not a fan of too much sex in a book.

While the book is written in third person, the focus switches between different characters in the story. These aren’t clearly defined by chapters, but it doesn’t make the book confusing.

The story left me feeling a little sad for Tessa but also excited at what the future could hold for her. I was disappointed in Luke but could also see from the beginning that he is quite selfish as a person.

Meg Buchanan’s I Thought I Knew You was a great change to my usual reads and I hope to read more of her books soon.

If you’re interested in reading any of Meg’s Prelude series, you can buy them from Amazon using the following links.
