It’s May… Really? I swear that somebody is abducting me and speeding up time. It only feels like yesterday I was letting you know which books I read in March. It’s now time for ‘In April, I read…’
April was an odd month for reading. I actually found myself doing far more work on the blog than I have for a while. This resulted in me spending far less time reading than I would have liked.
Nevertheless, in April, I read…
Murder By Fire – Faith Martin
I started this book in March and finally finished it at the beginning of April. I was actually excited to finish reading it because it meant I could go on to my next book.
Black Soul – T.J. Brearton
Oh my, oh my. This was the most exhilarating read this year to date. I was actually left feeling completely traumatised (a fantastic feeling if you’re me) and alive. Black Soul has taken the place of To Kill a Mockingbird as my favourite book.
The Asylum Tour – Deborah A. Stansil
This was another review book. Something that is slightly different to what I have been reading. It was a good book and although not as horror-y as I was expecting, I still enjoyed it very much.
Murder at Work – Faith Martin
Faith’s books seem to be coming thick and fast at the moment. Another DI Hillary Greene book following the story of the great DI who demands the respect of her colleagues.
Then She Ran – Charlie Gallagher
I hadn’t read anything written by Charlie before, it was a great read. Action packed and thrilling, it was exciting to the very end.
So, that’s what I read in April. May is looking to be quieter on the reading front while I continue to work harder on the blog but I’ll still be back next month with an update on what I have been reading.
In the meantime, here’s 2018’s reading statistics.
- Books Read: 27
- Pages Read: 6003
- In 2018, I pledged to read 52 books. I am currently 10 books ahead of schedule.
Now it’s time to join in with the linky.
