Then She Ran is the fifth in Charlie’s Langthorne Police Series following his other best sellers.
Detective George Elms is back with a promotion and, like all good police detectives, a turbulent personal life. But does the chaos in his life mean that his judgement is affected?
When Jenny Harris is shaken awake by her panic-stricken boyfriend, Joseph while their baby daughter sleeps on her chest, her life is changed forever. After Joseph is brutally murdered in public, Jenny embarks on a mission… to simply survive.
While the task force investigates the circumstances surrounding Joseph’s murder, Detective Elms is investigating the murder of an elderly woman shot in the stomach during a botched burglary.
Is there a link between the two apparently unrelated murders? If so, what? Who really wants Jenny silenced so badly they won’t stop until she’s dead?
George has no choice but to investigate like he’s never investigated before, can he solve the case before Jenny’s time runs out?
I’ve had a Charlie Gallagher book on my Kindle for months but not actually gotten around to reading it.
Was this a good introduction to Charlie and his books?
Heck yes it was! Action packed and well written it was easy to get into the story.
I love a protagonist that isn’t perfect. I love knowing that even the damn good Detectives have shit in their lives that often overwhelms them.
I am really looking forward to finding the time to read more of Charlie’s books.
As always, here is the link to buy Then She Ran.
