#Blogtober17 – Ergobaby Doll Carrier Review

#Blogtober17 – Ergobaby Doll Carrier Review

It’s the 2nd day of #Blogtober17 with HexMum Plus One and today’s prompt is ‘Babies’.  I could talk about all my babies but that’s expected isn’t it?  To change the rules a little I’m going to talk about Ergobaby’s Doll Carrier.  We recently received one to review and it fits, doesn’t it?

When I had Macsen 3 years ago I loved baby wearing.  I haven’t been able to wrap for a while now but Seren is still totally in love with the concept of baby wearing and often talks to me about carrying Baby Annabelle.  When she saw the Ergobaby Doll Carrier she was ecstatic.  Baby Annabelle spends a lot of time in her carrier.

Personally, I’ve never been lucky enough to have a real Ergobaby Carrier for a real baby but their Doll Carrier looks just like the real thing and uses all the same principles.  I’ve been teaching Seren how to baby wear correctly and safely.  Even though Annabelle is a doll, it’s important to know how to use a sling correctly.

Seren has taken to baby wearing like a duck to water.  She comes home from school and pops Baby Annabelle straight on her back.  She really is a natural.

I really wanted to get a video of Seren learning how to get Baby Annabelle in her carrier but, as with most things at the moment, I ran out of time.  The only video I have was a bit of a disaster and you would spend more time watching my knee.  (It’s still in the pipeline so I will update the post as soon as I’ve recorded a successful video.)

We received the Special Edition Keith Haring Doll Carrier in Black.  It’s really pretty and is already the envy of my baby wearing Mummy friends.

As with the whole range of Ergobaby Doll Carriers it is suitable for front and back carrying and is recommended for children over 18 months.  It is machine washable and 100% cotton.  You can also guarantee that both child and doll will be super comfortable thanks to the padded shoulder straps and waistbelt.

The Ergobaby Doll Carrier is available directly from Ergobaby.  The Keith Haring Black version retails at £29.90.
