We love warming winter dishes in our house… Beef stew is among the favourites. Full of vegetables, meat and taste – what more do you want from a meal? My beef stew is a hit with the whole family. There are no nasties (unless you don’t like meat or veg).
Even better, it can be thrown together in the morning and will cook all day while you carry on with your day.
There are so many variations of stew and in all fairness, stew has to be one of the easiest meals to cook and prepare… it’s mostly a matter of personal taste.
What you need:
- Cubed Beef (left over from Sunday roast/stewing/any other type)
- Sweet Potatoes
- Beef Stock
What you need to do:
- Peel and cube the potatoes, parsnips, carrots, swede, sweet potatoes. Slice the leeks and onions.
- Chuck everything in the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours.
- Serve and enjoy.
