These Monday’s come around way too quickly. I’m trying my hardest to remain organised and order my shopping on a Sunday evening for Monday morning. It is working.
I deviated from last week’s meal plan for a few days after a crappy week feeling sorry for myself.
The meals I planned were:
- Beans on Toast
- Slow Cooked Beef Casserole & Rice
- Slow Cooked Pork Dinner
- Slow Cooked Sausage & Potato Casserole & Bread Rolls
- Slow Cooked Hunters Chicken & Green Vegetables
- Fish & Mash
What we actually ate were:
- Monday – Beans on Toast
- Tuesday – Slow Cooked Sausage Casserole/Stew type meal
- Wednesday – Fish & Mash
- Thursday – Slow Cooked Beef Casserole Surprise
- Saturday – Hot Dogs & Chips
- Sunday – Slow Cooked Hunters Chicken, Boiled Potatoes & Vegetables
This week I am starting to clear my freezer so we are eating:
Slow Cooked Bolognaise Pasta Bake – A quick meal on account of having swimming lessons after school. Although, today we have an inset day which means I have my precious children at home with me.
Bangers & Mash – A good old family favourite… Sausages, creamy mash and onion gravy…. Yummy. And none of the children should complain either.
Homemade Sausage Rolls & Wedges – I have loads of pork in my freezer and am going to use some of it this week. Made with puff pastry, pork mince and seasoning these homemade sausage rolls are going to be a trial and error thing!
Homemade Chicken & Mushroom Pie & Chips – I have mentioned I’m clearing my freezer and I’m using up the pastry. I’m not sure if it is going to have puff pastry or shortcrust as it all depends on what I have left!
Pork Roast Dinner – I didn’t cook the roast last week so we’ll have it this week instead.
