I haven’t actually written a meal plan in ages… but as of today that is going to change… Today is the first step to me getting back on track with what we eat in this house. Although, if I am honest, I end up serving most of what I plan for the week.
Most of the meals I plan for the week are either suitable for Comma or easily adapted for him.
This week we are having:
Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork served in Brown Bread Rolls – This is a nice one, although I don’t make the sauce myself so I have popped a little of the pulled pork into an oven dish with some chopped tomatoes for Comma. It is currently sat in the slow cooker just waiting for dinner time.
Slow Cooker Chicken Casserole served with Jacket Potatoes – I never put potatoes in with a chicken casserole and tend to serve them on the side but to spice it up this week we are having jackets rather than boiled.
Slow Cooker Beef Stew – There is something to be said about owning a slow cooker. I rarely use my cooker now; most meals are cooked in the slow cooker. We love stew and it is always perfectly edible for Comma.
Slow Cooker Easy Pasta Bake – I know, pasta bakes take minutes to cook but with a baby who gets grumpy come 4pm I would rather be able to rest safe in the knowledge dinner is just simmering away. This takes two hours to cook, with no preparation thanks to ready-made passata sauce.
Fish, Mash and Peas – This needs no explanation… although I don’t think I could cook this in the slow cooker.
There are 2 days missing because we are out both days so food preparation will be out of my control.
